The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in here the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level developed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
